New York Magazine compares Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to Jesus

But any navi who presumes to speak in My name an oracle that I did not command him to utter, or who speaks in the name of other gods—that navi shall die.”

Popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson mocked a book written by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on his show on Friday after reviewing an early copy he got from New York Magazine’s new book on her, “Take Up Space: The Unprecedented AOC.”

“The book opens by comparing Ocasio-Cortez to Jesus, and then it suggests that because she once got second place in a high school science competition, she could have gone on to win the Nobel Prize,” Carlson stated.

Carlson blasted the book’s seemingly incessant boot-licking of Cortez with quotes such as: “She offered the reassuring warmth of Oprah; the fire-and-brimstone of Jonathan Edwards; the inspiration of John F. Kennedy; the intimacy of an FDR fireside chat. It was exhausting and reassuring and scary and comforting and extremely weird.”

Vehemently disagreeing with the premise of the book, Carlson also said on his nightly show: “No one has done more personally to degrade American womanhood than Sandy Cortez has.”

Aside from Jesus, the biography also compares her to a prophet in an excerpt that reads: “On the day of the House vote, Ocasio-Cortez stood up in the chamber, again wearing all white. She looked like a prophet or a medium tapping a deep well of popular fury.”

“She’s living proof that 60 years of feminist liberation did not work. Sandy Cortez is not empowered. She’s neurotic and silly. She’s far more frivolous than any 1950s housewife ever was. June Cleaver was a more serious person; at least she made dinner.”
