“Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations, and set up Mine ensign to the peoples, and they shall bring thy sons in their bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.” (Isaiah 49:22)

ICEJ’s David Parsons presents Israel Returns founder Michael Freund with a check for one million shekels as two Bnei Menashe Jews from India look on.

One million shekels (approximately $300,000 USD) were pledged by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem to Israel Returns founder Michael Freund at the ICEJ’s gala Israel Night this past Tuesday. The money will go to support the immigration of Jews from India, and is “a great blessing for us” according to Freund. “We are honored to be partnering with the ICEJ in this historic return and grateful to God for bringing us together to serve as His instrument.”

During the holiday of Sukkot, Israel Returns organized a global call for prayer and thousands of worshippers participated in their ‘Four Corners Prayer Journey’ calling for the Jewish people to return to Israel. In an interview with Breaking Israel News, Michael Freund said, “the outpouring of prayer from Jews and Christians around the world in response to our Four Corners Prayer Journey for the Feast of Tabernacles was inspirational. Individuals and congregations worldwide joined in beseeching the Creator to have mercy on His people Israel and to shepherd them back home to Zion.

“For each day of the holiday, people stood in prayer and poured out their hearts on behalf of the Lost Tribe of Bnei Menashe in India, asking God to open the door of immigration to Israel so they can finally return to the land of their ancestors. This is a source of great strength to us as we move forward, confident in the knowledge that the Divine plan will continue to unfold and that just as the Prophets foretold, all the Lost Tribes of Israel will in fact return.”

In recent years, Israel Returns has brought thousands of Jews from far flung communities such as Kaifeng, China and Cajamarca, Peru to live in Israel. Currently, Israel Returns is working hard to bring 899 descendants of the Biblical Menasseh (known in Hebrew as the ‘Bnei Menashe’) from India to their ancestral homeland. When the government of Israel scheduled a vote on whether to bring these 899 from India around Sukkot time, Israel Returns organized the ‘Four Corners Prayer Journey’ for Jews and Christians to pray during the 8 days of Sukkot. With this latest gift from the ICEJ, it seems that Israel Returns prayers were answered.
