During the night, the IDF and security forces launched a large-scale operation in Hebron designed to seize money the terrorist organization Hamas gave to families of terrorists in order to maintain their participation in terrorist activities.

The IDF confiscated thousands of shekels overnight in dozens of targets, which included the families of the terrorists responsible for the kidnapping and murder of 16-year-old Naftali Fraenkel, 16-year-old Gilad Shaer and 19-year-old Eyal Yifrah in June 2014. According to the IDF Spokesperson, the families of the perpetrators benefited from significant sums of money since the moment of the abduction, which empower them on the Palestinian streets and promote the recruitment of the next generation of terrorists.

In addition, two vehicles and two computers were seized with monetary value to the families of terrorists.

In the Binyamin region, the IDF arrested 14 people responsible for grassroots terrorism in the area, including six in the Palestinian village of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah. The operation also included the arrest of a terror cell responsible for regularly throwing stones and Molotov cocktails on route in the Palestinian village of Hizma, near Jerusalem’s Old City.
