There’s no question that BDS is an anti-Semitic movement whose dream is of Israel’s destruction.

But even this rise of the BDS movement has an upside: it serves to remind the silent majority that love and support for the Land of Israel needs to be represented, not only through ‘tweets’ or Facebook ‘posts’, but through real life actions.

This principle has been illustrated in the work of Gedaliah and Elisheva Blum, a married couple living in Eli, Israel. For the past six years, the pair have been at the forefront, spearheading an anti-BDS campaign which actually focuses on promoting the very businesses being targeted.

They have recently launched a new international branch of their initiative which brings the products of many of these Israeli businesses to the world.

“What we are looking for is real change on the ground, not just talk. If the BDS movement believes that a legitimate way to destroy Israel is through economic pressure, why is our response not to focus on building up these targeted businesses? It should be a focus so we can make BDS irrelevant.” Gedaliah exclaimed.

No2BDS is an extension of Dapei Katom, an Israeli based anti-BDS campaign, created in 2009 by the couple. Reacting to the early calls of BDS against
communities within Israel, they decided to do what they could with the resources they had. Six years later, they provide services to more than 2,500 businesses targeted by BDS ideology.

The ‘No2BDS’ campaign has already proven itself worthy within the Twitter world. With an account just six weeks old, it has already acquired over 5,600 active followers, all without spending money on advertising or promotion. The campaign encourages their supporters to visit their crowdfunding platform where one can meet the Blums, learn more about the No2BDS initiative, and join them in their fight.

“We had our eyes open many years ago and saw the potential damage the BDS movement could cause to our communities.” said Elisheva. “Without any money to start, we launched our local campaign anyway, perhaps a bit naive, but almost 7 years later we look at what we are part of and we are really proud”.

After spending years building both professional and personal relationships with the owners of thousands of these targeted businesses, Gedaliah and Elisheva are well positioned to work one-on-one with them to introduce their products to customers in Europe, North America, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia.
