A Palestinian mob set fire to Joseph’s Tomb Thursday evening, the site containing the remains of the Biblical patriarch Joseph, located in the city of Nablus.

Security forces belonging to the Palestinian Authority managed to disperse the over hundred-strong mob, Channel 2 reported, and put out the flames at the tomb. IDF forces arrived on scene once the riot was quelled.

Major damage to the women’s section at the compound of the tomb was reported by Walla! news, with no reports of injuries or deaths.

The incident occurred hours before Hamas officially declared a “Day of Rage” on Friday, with Israel bracing for an outbreak of fresh violence and terror across the country.

Hamas previously called for a “Day of Rage” on Tuesday, in which a series of terror attacks struck Israel, leaving three Israelis dead and over a dozen wounded.

In anticipation of the “Day of Rage,” Israeli Police announced Thursday that access to Friday prayers for Muslims on the Temple Mount would be restricted to men and women over 40.

The IDF has bolstered its presence throughout the capital city of Jerusalem, deploying 300 soldiers in the streets to maintain security.
