After a group of Jewish pilgrims raised Israeli flags on the Temple Mount on Sunday, Arabs on the mount tried to confront them.
The police intervened and did not allow the Arab rioters to get within their proximity.
Sunday is the 55th commemoration of Israel’s victory in the Six day-way and Jerusalem’s liberation. A record number of Jews attempted to visit the Temple Mount, but many were turned away due to the high volume.
MK Itamar Ben-Gvir defiantly visited the Temple Mount and pointed to the Arab rioters saying, “anyone who is acting violently and harming the State of Israel should be evicted from here.”
“I am proving that we are the rightful rulers of the Temple Mount,” he added.
