Health Ministry claims they accidentally reported 100% more covid deaths than actually took place

And the blood on the houses where you are staying shall be a sign for you: when I see the blood I will pass over you, so that no plague will destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

He will save you from the fowler’s trap, from the destructive plague. Psalms 91:3

The international website Our World In Data (OWID)  is a trusted source but recently, the Israeli Ministry of Health questioned its conclusions when it presented extreme data about the recent mortality rates in Israel reflecting over 100 deaths per day recently.

The Ministry of Health claimed that this was a mistake that resulted from entering data for an entire month in one day. The ministry claimed the accurate number of deaths over the last week has averaged around 50 deaths per day.

“Due to information gaps on the OWID website, the data currently presented there reflect a false picture of the reality regarding the daily number of deaths in Israel,” the ministry said in a statement. “We are working to correct the gap with the site staff. Attached is a comparative graph that reflects the truth data versus the site data.”

Though this may be true, the pandemic situation in Israel is not good. Reuters’ COVID tracking site reported that the daily average number of coronavirus-related deaths reported in Israel reached a new high of 79. The number of serious cases was also reported to have hit an all-time high of 1,229 on Saturday.Of that number, 353 are on ventilators.

The number of patients hospitalized in Israel in serious condition as a result of COVID-19 rose to 1,229 on Saturday, the highest number since the onset of the pandemic, according to new Health Ministry data.

The last time the number of serious patients was close to that figure was in late January 2021, with 1,193 serious COVID-19 cases.

The ministry reported 37,985 new cases identified Friday, with a test positivity rate of 25.48%. Another 15,304 cases had been identified as of 9 p.m. Saturday.

Israel’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 9,135, or 1 in every 1,000 Israelis, making Israel 47th in the world for deaths per capita, In the US, the per capita death rate is almost three times as bad.

Omicron is, nonetheless, less deadly than other variants with 1 fatality per 2,000 confirmed cases. But it is far more transmissible with one-third of all COVID cases occurring within the last month.

Israel was one of the first countries with a very active program of vaccination. To day, about 18 million doses have been administered. Over six million Israelis, or 66.2% of the population, are fully vaccinated.
