A feeling of disappointment surrounds the fourth Covid booster after a study at the Sheba Medical Center showed that the antibodies produced by the fourth booster did not last as long as expected reports Kann News.
Reporter Katy Dori reported that the Health Ministry, as well as researchers, are “disappointed” by the underperforming results. Dori adds that although the antibody level increased fivefold, was still significantly less than the increase in antibodies between the second and third booster after one week. A week following the second and third booster, the antibody level shot up thirty-three times greater.
Due to the disappointing results, the Health Ministry will not be recommending the fourth booster to the general population but rather for those 60 and over exclusively.
