3 Months of Terror, 24 Murdered Israelis, 259 Wounded

Five Israelis were wounded in three separate terror incidents on Thursday. Two security guards were injured in a stabbing attack in Ariel when Muhammad Abdel Hamid Zahran, 23, from Kufr al-Dik, who worked in the city’s industrial center, left his workplace in order to perpetrate the attack. He entered the security booth and began stabbing the two guards. Katya Sohet opened fire, shooting two magazines at him before the terrorist was neutralized and killed. The terrorist was a 21 year old from the village of Dik.

Near Hebron, at the Ari Junction, Eiad Jamal Issa Ideis, a 25 year old from the village of Yatta, attacked IDF troops with a screwdriver. The troops opened fire, killing him. No Israelis were injured.

Wisam Abu Ghwaila, 22, from Qalandiya rammed his car into an IDF soldier near Geva Binyamin. The soldier was lightly injured and the assailant was shot and killed.

Elite IDF Duvdevan troops entered Qalandiya  on Thursday and were fired upon. They returned fire, killing the Arab shooter. In response, the troops were attacked by rioting mobs who threw stones, concrete blocks, explosives, burning tires, and Molotov cocktails. Two soldiers were injured and one Palestinian was shot and killed after throwing a suspicious at the troops. Six Palestinians were injured. One Palestinian, who was wanted for questioning, was arrested.

Rabbi Reuven Birmacher, 45, and Ofer Ben Ari, 46, were killed in a stabbing attack at the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem on Wednesday. The aftermath has led to much controversy, with many major media being accused of anti-Israel bias in their reporting. A third Israeli remains hospitalized form wounds suffered in the attack. The two Palestinian terrorists were from Qalandiya and had both been imprisoned for security offenses.

It has been just over three months since the wave of terror began on the Jewish New Year. YNet reported that in that time, 24 Israelis have been murdered, 259 wounded – 24 of them seriously, seven moderately-to-seriously, 36 moderately, 11 lightly-to-moderately and 18 lightly wounded.
