Arab Media Targets IDF Soldier Who Killed Terrorist

On Thursday afternoon, an Arab attempted to stab a soldier at the Gush Etzion Junction, south of Jerusalem. A corporal in the Shimshon Battalion of the Kfir Brigade shot and killed the terrorist.

The same anonymous corporal, in the army for less than one year, shot and killed two terrorists last week as they attempted to stab a soldier in the same location.

The Arabic news agencies, Shehab and Ma’an posted the soldier’s photo, calling him the “face of the Occupation” and “The Terminator”. The article was critical of Israel’s policy in dealing with the recent wave of violence, claiming there is a policy of “shoot-to-kill”.

“The majority were shot and killed by Israeli forces after allegedly attempting attacks on Israelis, although Palestinians and rights groups have raised questions over Israel’s version of events in a number of cases.”

At around 1:30 in the afternoon on Friday, an Arab stabbed a 40 year old Israeli in the parking lot of a Rami Levy supermarket in Benyamin, north of Jerusalem. According to reports, the victim tried to defend himself with pepper-spray but did not react in time and was stabbed twice, in the neck and chest. The terrorist escaped in his car.

This is the second attack near a Rami Levy store. The chain stores are often located in areas where Jews and Arabs mix, and two weeks ago, the owner decided to remove kitchen knives from the shelves in order to prevent Arabs from purchasing a weapon to use in an attack on premises.

Just a few minutes earlier, a 72-year-old Arab woman attempted to run over a group of IDF Haruv soldiers from the Kfir Brigade  on Route 35 in Halhul, north of Hebron. The troops responded quickly, shooting and seriously wounding the assailant.

Two days ago, an IDF Border Policeman was run over at the same spot and critically wounded. The terrorist was shot and killed.
