The brother-in-law of Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas, underwent life-saving heart surgery in a Tel-Aviv hospital on Tuesday, despite the recent wave of terror and hatred Abbas is inciting against Israel. He is now hospitalized under heavy guard in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
One week ago, Abbas claimed that Israel had executed a 13-year-old Palestinian boy after he stabbed two people in Jerusalem, critically wounding an Israeli boy. Abbas’ made this televised claim despite Israeli press and media showing a video of the Palestinian boy being treated in an Israeli hospital.
Even at times of open hostilities, Hamas and PA officials do not hesitate to seek treatment in Israelis hospital for themselves and their loved ones. And Israel accommodates them, allowing them to cross the borders for humanitarian purposes.
Last August, Abbas’s wife, Amina, also underwent surgery at the Assuta hospital, coinciding with the search for the three murdered teens, Eyal Yifrah, Naftali Frenkel, and Gilad Sha’ar. The granddaughter and also the daughter of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh received medical treatment in Israel, as did his mother-in-law, and granddaughter. His organization is dedicated to the destruction of Israel. Last year, the sister of Hamas senior official Moussa Abu Marzouk was treated for cancer.
