In a chilling reminder of the attacks that left the nation in shock, a Florida man was arrested by the FBI and accused of giving online instructions on bomb building, including a call to have the bomb planted at a 9/11 commemorative event in Kansas City, Missouri.

U.S. Attorney A. Lee Bentley III of the Middle District of Florida said in a news release on Thursday that 20 year-old Joshua Ryne Goldberg of Orange Park, Florida, was charged with distribution of information relating to explosives, destructive devices, and weapons of mass destruction. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

According to the report, Goldberg, a Jewish American, posed on the internet as a Muslim who was promoting jihad on pro-Islamic State websites, using the alias “Australi Witness” and “AusWitness”, claiming to be a Lebanese refugee living in Australia. In July, an FBI informer began communicating with him online, and Goldberg instructed him on how to make a bomb out of a pressure cooker, nails and rat poison. According to the FBI, the instructions were accurate. In a message sent on August 27, he instructed the informer to place the bomb at the ceremony in Kansas City. He wrote: “Put the backpack near the crowd. But make sure it’s in a place where the [police] won’t think anything of it.”

Goldberg came to the attention of the FBI when he took credit online for inspiring the May 3rd attack in Garland, Texas on the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest where two assailants wearing body armor and carrying rifles opened fire on a police officer and security officer before being shot and killed.

Today marked the fourteenth anniversary of the hijacking and crashing of four planes into the two towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan, the Pentagon in Arlington Virginia, and an open field in Shanksville Pennsylvania. The terror attacks that day left almost 3,000 Americans dead, more than were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 that triggered the war against Japan in.
