The educational startup, Zinkerz, partially based in Israel, recently launched the Zinkerz TOEFL App, a revolutionary choice for many international students preparing for the TOEFL (test of English as a foreign language) exam. The TOEFL test evaluates English proficiency and is taken by over 800,000 students around the world, including many Israelis planning to study in the United States. High scores are critical to fulfill acceptance requirements for American colleges and universities, but test prep resources are limited, with even fewer created by native English speakers. Furthermore, the Zinkerz TOEFL app will be the first fully comprehensive digital TOEFL test prep option, allowing students to study anywhere, from their phone or tablet. With input from American and Israeli experts, the TOEFL app will offer materials of the highest caliber in both content and technology.

The fun and interactive App has many features to enhance student focus and motivation. Co-founder Mordejai Burstein explains, “Zinkerz gives students a road map that allows them to work on their weak areas while honing their strengths. We have already received incredibly positive feedback from TOEFL students during our beta test period.”

Reviews of the app available through Itunes and Googleplay, mirror these sentiments with praise for the new study aid:

“I tried many TOEFL apps before and I can assure none of them work nearly as good as this one. Really helped me improve in the exam Best TOEFL app!”

“This app has it all – Easy to use, with fun practice tools, it has a great flow and feel to it. I will use it in place of expensive TOEFL courses to prepare.”

“…Good exercises and material, everything scheduled, you can practice everyday and everywhere.”

Ariel Weiss, Israeli CEO and co-founder, states “This is the only app on the market that takes a comprehensive approach to the TOEFL test by integrating all four sections of the exam material in one app.” Other features in this stand alone product include ZinkZone a performance tracker to help students improve as they study, flashcards to help visually memorize the most important TOEFL words and Interactive listening exercises to work on the essential skills needed for the exam. Additionally, full exams allow students to tackle all four subjects of TOEFL in one place.

Features coming in the next months include personalization where the app measure users’ proficiency in each sub-category, identifies weaknesses, creates a performance report and provides specific exercises according to the weakest category. Gamification is also set to enhance the fun factor with animation and bonus points, ranked titles and related visuals for the raccoon mascot.

Zinkerz previously released it’s adaptive SAT app which was featured on Discovery Channel’s Newswatch, and will be offering a free update to coincide with the new exam in 2016. Features, similar to their TOEFL app conform to student needs with daily and weekly practice tests, tips and tricks to master test taking strategies, and mini-challenges that test knowledge against the clock to train speed and accuracy, among many other important features.

With a diverse range of testing and technological innovations both in current apps and planned for the future, Zinkerz will continue its goal of making test prep accessible to everyone and students around the world a partner in their own education.
