The victim remains unconscious and on a respirator.

After a short chase through the streets of Tel Aviv, the attacker, who has been identified as a resident of Nablus was apprehended by police. There have been reports that another individual was injured in the attack as well. A man in his 50’s attempted to stop the terrorist from fleeing the scene of the attack and was injured in the struggle.

The young man who was stabbed has been identified on Twitter as being a soldier, but those reports remain unconfirmed.

Nachum Borenstein was the first paramedic on the scene. He told reporters: “When I first arrived on scene I saw the victim who had been stabbed and was lying unconscious. I began to treat him together with other paramedics who joined me on site. He was evacuated to hospital during continual attempts to resuscitate him, and was in critical condition.”

Passersby said that the attacker was very riled up, and that the attack was perpetrated due to nationalistic reasons.

Over the last few days there has been a dramatic rise in the amount of violent terror attacks perpetrated by Arabs against Israeli civilians all over the country in what is shaping up to be the beginning of a wide scale conflict.
