A survey released by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs shows a large majority of Israelis oppose Palestinian statehood, dividing Jerusalem and giving up the Jordan Valley, Israel Hayom reported on Sunday.

Respondents were asked whether the rapid spread of ISIS across the Middle East altered their position on Israeli concessions concerning Judea and Samaria. 70.1 percent of respondents answered that the surge of Islamic radicalism did not change their opinions.

However, 16.8 percent of respondents answered that because of ISIS, they are now less willing to give up land. 4.8 percent of respondents said that due to rapid changes across the Middle East, offering political concessions are now most appropriate.

Regarding supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state within the pre-1967 border, 74.3 percent responded that they oppose any Palestinian state that required full Israeli withdrawal from the Jordan Valley.

11.5 percent of respondents answered that they support Israel’s withdrawal from the Jordan Valley while 13.7 percent chose not to answer the question.

On the subject of diving Jerusalem into two capitals, one for the State of Israel and a second for a future Palestinian state, 76.2 percent of respondents answered that they oppose the division of Jerusalem.

16.2 percent supported splitting up Jerusalem into two capitals while 7.5 percent did not answer.

The survey questioned a representative sample of 505 residents of the State of Israel, excluding Israeli Arabs. The survey was conducted by the Shavakim Panorama research institute under the guidance of Yossef Vadana.
