Day 4

On our last day in Poland we visited some of the Krakow’s magnificent sites of great historical importance including the incredible underground salt mines 110 meters below ground which extend for 300 kilometers.  Over the last 800 years, Polish miners dug wondrous caves and sculptures that are all made entirely out of salt!

To conclude our meaningful trip, we had our last lunch at the kosher Chabad restaurant in Krajow where we met and heard from two living legends. Sofia is a Holocaust Survivor who lived her whole life in Krakow and is very active in the Jewish community till this day and Maria showed us her metal and certificate presented to her by Yad Vashem for being a Righteous Among the Nations.
