In an exclusive interview with Israel365 News, David Brog explains that he is running for Congress in Nevada to be a “Champion for Israel.” Author David Brog is the former Executive Director of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), an American pro-Israel Christian organization, and Maccabee Task Force, a college advocacy group.
Brog is now running for Nevada’s 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is running for congress on behalf of Las Vegas. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently endorsed him endorsed by Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, reports Fox News. In a recent interview with Israel365 founder Rabbi Tuly Weisz, the two discussed Jewish-Christian relations. Brog believes that Christians support Israeli and the Jewish people not because of “prophecies of the book of revelation” but rather “the promises in the book of Genesis.”
More specifically, Brog refers to Genesis 12:3:
I will bless those who bless you and will curse those who curse you (Genesis 12:3)
Brog said he’s been “laser-focused” on fighting antisemitism on college campuses. He compares the argument against Israel on campus to classic antisemitism, saying: “it may start with Israel. It never ends with Israel.”
Brog laments that the “Democratic Party is now controlled by woke progressives.”
“And one thing I know from my political experience working for Senator Spector is that the party’s base has inordinate power and influence over elected officials.” Even though his district is a traditionally Democratic stronghold Brog is optimistic about his chances at victory. He explained that his district has transitioned into a swing district. Additionally, his district is comprised of many Hispanic working people who, according to Brag, are “breaking for republicans in greater numbers than ever.”
