When the Shomron Regional Council head, Yossi Dagan, traveled to Moldova to encourage Jewish Ukrainian refugees to move to Samaria, he may have had the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund (SICF) in mind.

That’s because SICF is an organization whose campus, located in Samaria, treats children in Israel affected by terror. There is no doubt that the young refugees fleeing war-torn Ukraine have suffered from similar trauma as those being rehabilitated at the center.

It’s important to understand that although Israel’s war on terror is different from Ukraine’s war against Russia, the traumatic ramifications are similar for the kids affected by it.

This is why SICF’s role in Israel’s absorption of Ukrainian refugees is vital. Many organizations are providing food, clothing, and shelter.

But only SICF has the proper infrastructure to rehabilitate children suffering from trauma.

David Rubin initially founded SICF. David, along with his young son, was himself a victim of a violent shooting attack by Muslim terrorists near his home in Shiloh, the town in Samaria which was the first capital of ancient Israel.

Usually, it’s the physical trauma from terrorism that makes the news headlines. However, in many instances, psychological trauma can be just as harmful…if not worse. SICF provides a type of field hospital for those unseen, destabilizing wounds.

That’s why it is vital that an organization like SICF is in their lives. To learn more about how you can get involved with helping rehabilitate Israel’s child victims of terror, click here.
