Two people were killed by Israel strikes on targets near Damascus early on Monday morning, Syrian state media reported.
“At about 05:00 a.m. on Monday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial act of aggression from the direction of southern Beirut, targeting with missiles some sites in Damascus vicinity,” the Syrian Arab News Agency reported, citing a military official.
Israel’s Channel 12 News quoted Syrian reporters as saying that the strikes focused on several targets around the town of Zakiyah, including a military camp used by Iranian militias.
