Knesset Member Itamar Ben-Gvir arrived in the Shimon Hatzadik neighborhood on Sunday after local Arab terrorists attempted to burn a Jewish family in the neighborhood with a firebomb attack on Saturday. The attack was documented in the Twitter post below:
פניתי למי שיכולתי,התחננתי וביקשתי שיעצרו את הטרור הערבי שמופנה נגד משפחתי מאות מטרים בלבד מהמטה הארצי.
אבל המשטרה והממשלה העדיפו להשקיע את האנרגיות בהתנכלות לנערי הגבעות.
הפעם בנס לא היו פגיעות בנפש.
בפעם הבאה א”א לדעת.

Soon after a terror car-ramming attack was perpetrated by Arab terrorists against local Jews.
The move will necessitate greater police presence in a mixed neighborhood where the Jewish residents complain of neglect by law enforcement, even though Israel’s police headquarters is about 200 yards from the location.
Met by resistance from Arab residents and left-wing Israeli protestors, many funded by the EU, Ben Gvir vowed to protect his “brothers and sisters.” In the below video, a Jewish resident can be seen defending himself against Muslim agitators:
Hamas said in a statement that the move “amounts to a clear violation and is playing with fire” adding: “We warn the occupation [regime of Israel] of the consequences of continuing these attacks, which are similar to playing with explosives that will only explode in their own face.”
The representative of the rightful Jewish owners of the property, Chaim Silverstein decried the lack of police enforcement and called on the police to free the neighborhood of “illegal occupation” of the Shimon Hatzadik in an exclusive interview with Israel365’s Josh Wander:
Ben-Gvir’s top advisor, Baruch Marzel also told Israel 365 News that he will “bring security to Jews that live in the center of Jerusalem.”
