When you take the field against your enemies, and see horses and chariots—forces larger than yours—have no fear of them, for Hashem your God, who brought you from the land of Egypt, is with you.

Warning sirens were reported in the area of the city of Umm el-Fahm in northern Israel and Samaria, the Israel Defense Forces said shortly after midnight on Tuesday, stating that more details were to follow.

Minutes later, the IDF said the sirens were caused by the firing of a surface-to-air missile from Syrian territory towards Israeli territory, adding that the missile exploded in mid-air and did not require interception.

Earlier in the evening, following an anti-aircraft missile that was launched from Syria and exploded mid-air, the IDF struck surface-to-air missile targets in Syria. Among the targets were Syrian radar and anti-aircraft batteries that launched missiles at IAF aircraft.

The sounds of a blast were subsequently heard in multiple locations in northern Israel.

The IDF said it will continue to protect Israel’s airspace and security.

In December, official Syrian media said Israel launched a missile strike on the country’s Latakia port.

The missiles reportedly targeted shipping containers housed at the port, said the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), citing a Syrian military source.
