Whoopi Goldberg said many horrible things that border on Holocaust denial but in doing so, she was repeating left-wing intersectional doctrine. Though Jews are less than one percent of the population, have certainly been the target of virulent racism throughout history, and are still the number one target of hate attacks, the left-wing does not consider Jews to be an oppressed minority. There are two reasons for this in my opinion.
Yes, as a group, Jews are relatively financially successful. But this success has lulled western secularized Jews into a false sense of security which, in order to be maintained, must perpetuate a lie that disappears with any rudimentary inspection of historical facts. Whoopi Goldberg stated that Jews are “white” based on the reasoning that:
“If the Klan is coming down the street and I’m standing with a Jewish friend: I’m going to run. But if my friend decides not to run, they’ll get passed by most times. Because you can’t tell who is Jewish. You don’t know.”
No, Whoopi, the Nazis (and every anti-semitic group and individual for the last 2,000 years) knew exactly who the Jews were. The Nazis did not have to deliberate or debate six million times before building Auschwitz. Even though the Jews were entirely secularized and integrated into German society, when the Nazis declared open season on the Jews, the Germans turned on their Jewish neighbors without hesitation. And when the German army rolled into Poland, Ukraine, and France, they did not have to convince the conquered nation to join them in exterminating the Jews.
Neither did the Catholic Church in the Spanish Inquisition. Or the gatekeepers in Great Britain who barred Jews from stepping on English soil for 350 years.
American Jews believe that they are hidden, because of their idiotic delusion that Judaism is a religion confined to their Reform synagogue, they are safe from Jew-hatred. This has never been true at any point in history and it is not true now in the US.
Whoopi took the name ‘Goldberg’ as her stage surname because she thought it absurd for a black woman to have a Jewish family name. That, in itself, is horribly anti-Semitic and shows gross ignorance. The majority of Jews are non-white and do not have a drop of European DNA. Anyone who has ever been to Israel knows this. In a 2011 interview, Whoopi even claimed to be Jewish, just as Alexandria Ocasio Cortez did. For them, Judaism is a nice coat that can be taken off at will.
Whoopi Goldberg thinks black skin precludes being Jewish. But Judaism is a race that transcends skin color. At the same time, Judaism goes deeper than skin color and cannot be washed off or bleached out. It is a racial identity that cannot be hidden.
US secular Jews would like to believe that they are hidden, that since they have denied and rejected their racial identity the Jew-haters do not see them hiding in plain sight. They would like to believe that when the Nazi Storm Troopers come beating on their door, they can politely say, “Sorry, but you have the wrong address.” This was not true anywhere in Europe during World War Two and despite Whoopi’s ignorance, it is not true in Los Angeles, New York, or anywhere in the US today. Jew-haters always know precisely who the Jews are, even when they are sitting with them at work, or university, or waving at them in the morning as they leave their houses.
