The highly anticipated snowstorm has finally hit Israel blanketing Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria with 10 centimeters of powder.

A severe weather system, called “Elpise,” foresaw snow in northern Israel from early Wednesday morning. The snowfall spread steadily southward throughout the day.

The first flakes fell in Jerusalem at approximately 7:30 p.m. and were expected to continue for most of the night, stacking the white stuff at least 10 centimeters deep.
