The head of Israel’s Health Ministry, Nachman Ash, admitted on Thursday that his department under the Bennett government has failed to stop the spread of corona reports 0404.
In an interview with Reshet Bet, Professor Ash said: “Our ability to cut the spread with these kinds of numbers is nonexistent, it is impossible. The positive cases would have risen even with restrictions in place.”
Professor Ash added that “The government sided with the economic ramifications with every action. To minimize cases, we need to take difficult steps of which I’m not sure the government and the people are capable of taking.”
Regarding the flouting of Covid guidelines by Members of Knesset, Ash said: “It can drive you crazy, it’s very disappointing that the example set by elected officials is not good.”
