Rabbi Yekutiel Fish, a well-known Jerusalem mystic who blogs under the byline Sod HaChashmal, wrote last week that despite general dissatisfaction with the government of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, it is precisely because of this dissatisfaction that his government is preparing for the final Davidic Dynasty. 

“The better part of Jeroboam the son of Nabat’s soul,” Rabbi Fish wrote, noting that Nabat’s name can be rearranged to spell ‘Bennett.’ “Bennett ends the influence of the reign of Jeroboam, thereby beginning the reign of Moshiach from the house of Joseph.”

Jeroboam was from the tribe of Efraim, making him a descendant of Joseph. His connection to Joseph was further cemented when he established his capital in Shechem, the site of Joseph’s Tomb. 

“The connection is really very simple,” Rabbi Fish told Israel365 News. “Jeroboam was the first king and founder of the independent northern kingdom of Israel. Until Jeroboam, the people did not feel the need for or even support the construction of the Temple. For this reason, he became the paradigmatic wicked king. But by doing so, Jeroboam separated the people from David. This led to the people crying out that they longed for the Davidic Dynasty.”

Rabbi Fish explained that Bennett is preparing the way for Moshiach ben David (Messiah, son of David). 

Moshiach ben Yosef (Messiah from the house of Joseph) is the first half of the two-stage Messianic process. Moshiach ben Yosef is a practical, mundane process that includes the ingathering of the exiles and building up of the Land of Israel. The second stage, Moshiach Ben David (Messiah from the house of David) is a miraculous process that includes the re-establishment of the Davidic Dynasty and the completion of the Third Temple.

“In the same way, Bennett is dividing the nation, pulling them away from Torah. The nation of Israel is crying out for Torah like never before. Until now, the Jews were okay with a watered-down version of Judaism and Torah.:”

Rabbi Fish noted that Bennett’s  Religious Minister Matan Kahana is advocating highly divisive conversion reforms. 

“The Israeli voters thought that Bennett would bring them more of the same,” Rabbi Fish said. “But he misled them. He made it clear that they would not even be getting the watered-down version of the Torah. The only way forward is towards Moshiach ben David.”

Rabbi Fish noted that just as Joseph aligned with Pharaoh to pave the way for Judah, Bennett is the first head of an Israeli government to form a coalition with the Arab parties.
