Hosea’s End of Days Vision: Birds fall from the sky in Spain

For that, the earth is withered: Everything that dwells on it languishes— Beasts of the field and birds of the sky— Even the fish of the sea perish.

Several hundred dead starlings suddenly fell from the sky outside the Juan Cardona Hospital in  Ferrol, north-western Spain, on November 26 at around 9AM. The falling bird bodies reportedly struck people and cars.

To determine if the birds were poisoned, samples were taken for the toxicological analysis.

Mapi Rodríguez, president of the local resident association, said: “They came out of the trees in the emergency area of the hospital, flew a few metres and plummeted to the pavement. The birds have been collected and we are now waiting to find out what happened.”

“We are told it won’t be easy.”

One possible cause suggested in local media is that the birds were electrocuted on a nearby powerline, but this has not been confirmed. Another possible suggestion was avian flu.

A similar event took place in Tarragona, Catalonia in February, 2020 when several hundred birds dropped dead, raising concerns of a chemical leak from a nearby factory.

It was later asserted that the low-flying birds were struck by a vehicle.

A similar phenomenon hit over the summer across several states, including Ohio, , Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky and Indiana. Birds, primarily blue jays, European starlings,  and grackles, were falling ill with puffy, swollen eyes and a crusty discharge that ornithologists identified as symptoms of a neurological disease, possibly bacterial in nature. Indiana wildlife experts said that there were suspicious deaths as well among the bluejays, robins, northern cardinals, and brown-headed cowbirds in five counties. West Nile Virus was ruled out as a cause.

This recent occurrence is a small example of a much larger phenomenon that is prophesied to appear as part of the all-encompassing experience at the end-of-days.

For that, the earth is withered: Everything that dwells on it languishes— Beasts of the field and birds of the sky— Even the fish of the sea perish. Hosea 4:3

This die-of of beasts, birds, and fish is part of the process that will also decimate mankind in the end-of-days.

I will sweep away man and beast; I will sweep away the birds of the sky And the fish of the sea. I will make the wicked stumble, And I will destroy mankind From the face of the earth —declares Hashem. Zephaniah 1:3

Rabbi Shaul Judelman, former director of the Ecology Beit Midrash, a religious study group focused on the environment as it is treated in classical Jewish sources, noted that ecological endeavors are clearly an element in the Final redemption.

“Nature is described as praising God and Man was set to guard over it. Our relationship with nature was initiated by Hashem (God) and how we relate to nature is an expression of how we relate to Hashem. Nature is God’s aspect of Judgment as related by God’s name of Elohim with which he created the world. In the end of days, when we are judged, we will be judged in this name, the name of nature. Some envision the end of days as armageddon and catastrophic. But according to Jewish tradition, there is another possibility that we can bring the Redemption in Achishena, through the sweetening of the judgment. Part of this can definitely be expressed through nature.”

“The environment is our divinely mandated responsibility. As such, harsh judgments can cause natural catastrophes. But in times of drought, we are told to pray but we are also told to engage in acts of charity. Nature is an extension of our relationship with God.”
