In response to a brutal terror attack that resulted in the death of one Israeli and three others injured, Communications Minister Yoaz Hendel took a lot of heat after calling to make Jerusalem gun-free for both Arabs and Jews.

“One more thing that needs to be done is to make sure no armed people enter Jerusalem, doesn’t matter if they are Jews or ‘Palestinians'” he said in an interview.

Zionist watchdog group Im Tirzu blasted the minister’s statement saying: “This is what Communications Minister Yoaz Hendel had to say after the murder this morning near the Western Wall. To whoever still doesn’t get how corrupt and shameful the post-zionist the first Israeli-Palestinian government that was forced upon us is.”

Earlier on Sunday, an Arab terrorist from the Shuafat section of Jerusalem attacked two Israeli civilians and two police officers between the Western Wall and the Temple Mount.

One of the victims, Eliyahu David Kay, succumbed to his wounds. The terrorist, who flew his family out of Israel before the attack, was also killed by the police defending themselves.

The terrorist was a Hamas agent in Jerusalem. On the streets in the Arab-occupied neighborhoods of Jerusalem as well as Gaza, candies were given out as a result of the attack.
