The Israeli residents of Geulat Zion (ion’s redemption) woke up Wednesday morning to security forces as well as the Municipal Authority (COGAT) destroying the homes and a synagogue in the village.
Two families and several other individuals live in the village. Their homes, along with the synagogue have been destroyed by a bulldozing crew. The community called upon all who could arrive at the scene to do so to protest the government’s actions.
The community also asked for donations to help rebuild their ruined village. The Municipal Authority, an arm of the Defense Ministry, has long been accused of corruption and working in the interest of PA land developers.
