A massive brawl between two Arab families from the southern Israeli town of Rahat broke out on Sunday just outside the Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva.
Two victims of the feud were injured as shots were fired.
Police have arrested nineteen suspects who were involved in the melee. Meanwhile, the medical center has been closed. The staff is now operating on an emergency basis.
According to a statement from the Israel Police: “Many police forces are acting to maintain order in the clash at Soroka Hospital.”
The head of the Beer Sheva District Police, Lieutenant Colonel Tiran Yehud, said, “Tonight, at about 7:40 p.m., we received a report from Soroka Hospital regarding a brawl with casualties. Many police units scrambled to the scene. While investigating the fight, another brawl was reported whereby a gun was used.”
