A firefight that took place in the Ramallah area on Sunday resulted in the death of five terrorists who belonged to the Hamas military infrastructure that planned to carry out terrorist activities.
Two IDF soldiers were also seriously wounded in the exchange of fire.
According to Hebron Jewish community spokesman Yishai Fleisher, the IDF thwarted what was supposed to be a major terror attack on Simchat Torah.

Simchat Torah, also known as Shmini Atzeret, marks the final day of Sukkot whereby the Jewish people restart the Torah reading to the beginning of Genesis.
Various weapons including AR-15s and sniper scopes were discovered in the terrorist’s cache.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said of the clash: “Security forces acted tonight in Judea and Samaria against Hamas terrorists who were about to carry out terrorist attacks in the immediate term. The soldiers and commanders in the field acted as expected of them, strived for contact and we fully support them.”
