Former NBA All-Star basketball player Amare Stoudemire, who changed his name to Yahoshafat ben Avraham upon converting to Judaism, was spotted making an impromptu visit to the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron.
His friend who accompanied Stoudemire said:
Last night we achieved probably the highest Spiritual connection I’ve ever experienced in Hebron – Me’arat Hamachpelah. We walked as if we were in The Times of Avraham. Pretty much every word shared between us in Hebron, were words of Torah. We ask God for forgiveness for any mistakes we made throughout the year and to Elevate us Spiritually to Levels Beyond our Imagination.
It was Yahoshafat ben Avraham 1st time at The Holy Me’arat Hamachpelah. The energy at the kever was so high level that felt like it was my 1st time as well. Rabbi Harry Rozenberg had tremendous insight Historically and spiritually on the city of Hebron and Hamachpelah.
Unfortunately, the greatest moments of this trip were not captured on camera but only in our memories forever. The connection to Gd at Me’arat Hamachpelah is so great, Words can’t explain. I’m so humble to be part of the covenant Gd-made with Avraham.
