Late Friday afternoon, before the start of the Sabbath in Israel, IDF forces apprehended a Palestinian terrorist who attempted to stab a soldier at the Azzun junction in Samaria. The soldier was unhurt by the terrorist, who is reportedly in his 20s.

According to the IDF, the stabbing occurred as soldiers were carrying out a routine patrol near the junction. After noticing a suspicious vehicle and pulling it over for inspection, the soldiers noticed one of the passengers had a suspicious object in his pocket. After asking the terrorist to empty his pockets, he pulled out a knife and attempted to stab an IDF soldier.

The attempted stabbing attack is the latest in a series of attempted terror attacks against IDF soldiers by Palestinian Arabs.
