A Palestinian terrorist shot and killed two Israelis Thursday morning near Givat Assaf in the Binyamin region, between the towns of Beit El and Ofra. Two other people were wounded in the attack, one in critical condition and the other in serious condition.

The terrorist approached the junction, a popular location for hitchhiking, in a vehicle with a driver. He exited the vehicle and opened fire, returning to his vehicle and fleeing the scene. Palestinian media reported that the vehicle was abandoned near to the scene of the attack. The IDF is currently engaged in a manhunt focusing on the city of Ramallah.

Paramedic Shalom Galil described the scene of the attack.

“When we arrived, we saw four young men with gunshot wounds near the hitchhiking station. We conducted searches and administered medical aid. Two of them, a young woman and a young man about 20 years of age, received life-saving medical treatment at the scene. We evacuated them to the hospital as they were in critical condition. Two youths in critical condition remained for treatment by IDF forces at the scene.”

Hamas praised the shooting on social media.

“The heroic Silwad operation is a response to the Zionist occupation’s crimes and behavior in the occupied West Bank,” a spokesman for the terrorist group, wrote on Twitter. “The West Bank’s youth and men will remain rebels against the occupation and continue to clash with it until it is banished.”

Ofra was the scene of a shooting attack on Sunday night in which the terrorist targeted a 21-year old pregnant woman. Her 30-week old fetus was delivered by emergency Caesarean Section but did not survive. Her husband was also shot in the attack.

A Palestinian terrorist carried out a stabbing attack targeting two IDF Border Patrol soldiers in the Old City of Jerusalem Thursday morning.
